1、Composition of circular tube belt conveyor
The circular tube belt conveyor is a new type of belt conveyor developed on the basis of the general belt conveyor. It is driven by friction and uses a set of regular polygonal rollers arranged at a certain distance to force the conveyor belt to roll into a circular tube shape. The material enters the feeding section from the tail feeding funnel, and the conveyor belt changes from a flat shape to a U-shape, and then gradually becomes a circular tube shape through the transition section, enclosing the material and running in a closed manner. When transported to the transition section of the head, the circular tube conveyor belt gradually expands from a U-shape to a flat shape, unloading the material. Both the carrying and return branch conveyor belts can form circular tube operation, or make the return branch run in a flat shape.
2、Characteristics of circular tube belt conveyor
The circular tube belt conveyor is the earliest and fastest developed among many enclosed belt conveyors, and its usage is currently the largest. Currently widely used in various industries and sectors around the world.
3、Basic parameters of circular tube belt conveyor
(1)The specifications and models of circular tube belt conveyors are mainly represented by the pipe diameter, usually indicated by the nominal pipe diameter (outer diameter), which is 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 500, 600, 700, and 850 mm respectively. The model representation method is as follows: code for circular tube belt conveyor (DG)+fixed method code (Y is displacement type, fixed type not labeled)+structural type code (D is single circular tube type, full circular tube type not labeled)+nominal pipe diameter.
(2)The particle size of the conveyed material is important for determining the size of the circular tube belt conveyor. Generally, the maximum material particle size is 1/3 of the nominal diameter of the circular tube conveyor belt. Under certain material particle size distribution, materials with larger particle sizes can also be transported. The feeding amount is too large compared to the recommended pipe diameter, which will be detrimental to the service life of the conveyor belt and the rollers that constrain the conveyor belt. If the nominal diameter of the circular tube conveyor belt is determined by the particle size of the conveyed material, it will be larger than the diameter selected based on the conveying volume.
(3)The filling coefficient is generally 75%, with a maximum not exceeding 80%. The circular tube belt conveyor can transport powdery, granular, block shaped materials, as well as viscous materials with high water content. When the pipe diameter is the same, reducing the filling coefficient can increase the particle size of the conveyed material.
(4)The belt speed of a circular tube belt conveyor is generally 0.8-5.0m/s. If it is necessary to increase the belt speed, the diameter of the idler roller can be increased or the allowable speed index of the idler roller can be increased.
